  • Will you close my account if it has a zero balance?

    No. You can have a functioning forex trading live account even if your balance is zero.

  • Do I have to deposit funds to my forex trading account from the bank account I specified in the account application form?

    Yes. However, if you change your bank account number and notify our Client Services Team, then you will be able to fund from another account opened in your name.

  • Is there a fee for withdrawing funds from a live FX trading account?

    No. VertiFX.com does not charge a fee for withdrawing your funds. However, we will relay bank costs onto our clients. The bank fee for a withdrawal made by wire transfer is $50, USD. Withdrawal by check is free.

  • I want to use more than one bank account for transfers to/from my trading account, is it possible?

    Yes. To change your bank account details, please e-mail a copy of your bank statement to our Client Services Team.

  • I have several forex trading accounts, is it possible to transfer funds between them? Do you charge any commission for this service?

    It is possible to transfer funds between accounts registered in the same name. In order to transfer funds, you need to complete a transfer form, sign it, and send it to us via email or fax. We do not charge any commission for this service, and if any currency conversion is required, then we will use a current spot rate.

  • What is the minimum initial deposit to open a live account for FX trading?
  • Standard Account - $1000 (?)
  • Silver Account - $5000 + 10% Bonus (?)
  • Gold Account - $10,000 + 12.5% Bonus * (?)
  • VIP Account - $20,000 + 15% Bonus * (?)

  • What is bonus and how can bonus be used?
    Bonuses are given on Silver forex trading accounts and above, up to 20% of your initial deposit, and it is only for forex trading purposes. You can use bonus as real money to trade and generate profits, you can withdraw generated profits from your account as well; however, if you decide to withdraw your money and close the account, then the bonus amount will be deducted from your total remaining balance. If your forex trading account has been completely depleted due to a loss, then the bonus is forgiven.

  • Why do you need information about my financial background and investment experience?

    We collect information regarding your financial background and investment experience for our records and for regulatory

  • What happens if all my bills are not in my name?

    Then you can send us a copy of your recent bank statement as proof of address.

  • Can you accept my passport without certification?

    No. We cannot accept a passport without certification. Additional identification will be required for regulatory purposes.

  • How long does it take to open a live account before forex trading can begin?

    It depends on how quickly you can provide us with the required supporting documents. On average, the process takes a couple of days. Once the documents have been submitted, we should contact you within one business day. If you do not get any reply within three working days, then please send an email to support@vertifx.com to confirm that we have received your documents.

  • Can I open a joint account for forex trading?

    Yes. You can open a joint account. To do so, please specify that you wish to open a joint account during the Online Account Opening Process.

  • Do you offer managed accounts?

    No. At this time, we do not offer managed account service. If we do introduce managed accounts to our list of services, then we will notify our clients upon doing so.

  • How do I open a live account for forex trading?

    A VertiFX.com Live Account can be opened with our simple and convenient online application. You can find this in the "Open Live Account" tab at the top of our website.

  • Can I open multiple accounts? How?

    It is possible to have as many Live Accounts as you wish; however, it's not possible to have one account and many sub accounts. We provide the MetaTrader MultiTerminal software package, which can be used to manage multiple FX trading accounts from one forex trading platform.

    Once a customer has an approved account, he or she can request additional accounts via email to "support@vertifx.com." The request should state the current account number and the desired additional account type.

MetaTrader 4 FAQ

  • Is it possible to access my live account on MT4 from different computers?

    Yes. It is possible to log in to your live and/or demo forex trading accounts from any computer that has the VertiFX MetaTrader 4 platform downloaded. You can even be logged in from different computers simultaneously.

  • What should I do if I don't want my demo account to expire?

    If you make at least one transaction on your demo account within a 90 day period, then it will not expire. If no transactions are made, then the demo forex trading account will be automatically deleted after 90 days.

  • How is the time shown in MT4?

    Our trading platform server time zone is GMT. All trades, pending orders and historical data will always be shown as GMT and for Daylight is GMT+1. The time you see in the Market Watch window is the time of the latest quote.

  • How can I switch the time zone in MT4?

    You cannot switch the time zone in MT4; the time zone of our trading servers is always GMT and or GMT+1 for daylight savings.

  • Why does the trading terminal show that I have zero profit in dollars when I can see my profit on open positions in points?

    This happens if you have an open position on a cross rate (for example, EUR/GBP), and the quote currency (in our example - GBP/USD) has been deleted from the Market Watch window, and the client terminal has no information with which to convert profit/loss into US dollars.

    Please add the relevant currency pair to the Market Watch window.

  • How do I see my FX trading history?

    Please open the Terminal window (press Ctrl+T on your keyboard) and select the Account History tab. Right click to enable the context menu, which will allow you to save your forex trading history as an .html file that can be viewed outside the trading platform.

  • How do I download historical data for MetaTrader?

    Open MetaTrader 4 forex trading platform, select Tools -> History Center. Double click on the currency pair and period and press "Download" to begin the downloading process.

  • Where do the quotes in the History Center come from?

    The quotes in the history database are coming from VertiFX / BTT Prime. History for previous years mostly comes from MetaQuotes Corp.

  • How can I add an EA?

    Save your expert advisors to C:\Program Files\VertiFX.Com - "experts ," and then restart MetaTrader. The Expert Advisor file should appear in the navigator window in MetaTrader. To trade with that expert advisor on a specific currency, left click it and drag it into a chart of that currency.

  • What do I do if the attached Expert Advisor does not work?

    Begin by checking if trading is allowed by going to 'Tools -> Options -> Experts tab -> Allow live trading'. Then make sure that the Expert Advisor button on the main tool bar is pressed.
    You should be able to see a smiley face DDD top right-hand corner of your chart to show that you have activated your EA correctly. If everything appears to be okay but the EA is still not working properly, see your log files via the 'Experts' tab in the 'Terminal' window (you should be able to see what error occurs). Please note that VertiFX.Com does not support EA’s functionality or advice on any aspect of EA’s performance or settings.  We advise to contact EA’s programmer or the facility that EA was purchased from (vendor).

  • Can I place trailing stop orders?

    Yes. You may place trailing stop orders. Please note: Trailing stops become inactive once you log out of the MetaTrader forex trading platform.

  • What happens to my positions when I log out of MT4?

    Open positions and pending orders stay in the system even if you log out of the trading platform or go offline. This is for all order types, except trailing stops.

    Trailing Stops become inactive when you close or log out of MetaTrader. Expert Advisors also become inactive when MetaTrader is closed or you are not logged in.

    If you are running EA, we advise you to consider renting VPS (virtual private server) and running VertiFX MT4 platform from VPS, it is safe and virtually on 24/7. You should ask our support team how to get VPS; email your request to support@vertifx.com

  • What do I do with the files on the History Center webpage?

    Please save the required file and then open MetaTrader -> Tools -> History Center. Double click on the required currency pair and period and press "Import." Select the saved file and press "OK."

  • Am I prohibited from hedging in MT4?

    No. You are not prohibited from hedging your positions.

  • I have received a message that says "trade context is busy." What does this mean?

    You will receive the message "trade context is busy" if you have placed two or more forex trading orders simultaneously. You have received this message because you have not waited until your trade has fully processed before placing another order. In order to resolve this issue, you need to restart the MT4 forex trading platform.
